Common Questions

For professional karaoke hosts using CompuHost.
Is CompuHost V3 required?

Yes. MyKJMedia subscriptions are designed for CompuHost V3 and its built-in MyKJMedia validation tools.

How do I activate a new subscription?

Open CompuHost on the target computer and choose MyKJMedia > Configure/Manage MyKJMedia from the top main menu. Select About from the left panel and verify the License ID matches your subscription. Then select Setup/Configure, enter your MyKJMedia username and password, and click Login.

How do I renew or manage an existing subscription?

Renewal and billing changes are handled in your online MyKJMedia account portal. Log in, choose Manage Subscriptions, and use the available billing, renewal, or reactivation options for that subscription.

How do I re-activate a renewed subscription in CompuHost?

After the subscription is active in your online account, open MyKJMedia > Configure/Manage MyKJMedia in CompuHost, verify the License ID on the About screen, select Setup/Configure, and click Validate Optional Subscription.

Can I cancel auto-renewal easily?

Yes. Log in to your MyKJMedia account, choose Manage Subscriptions, and cancel auto-renewal for the subscription. The subscription remains available until its current expiration date.

Can I update my billing method?

Yes. Log in, choose Manage Subscriptions, then select Edit Billing Method for the subscription you want to update.

Are the catalogs guaranteed to stay the same?

No. Catalog availability may change as producer and distributor licensing changes. The song search and catalog browser reflect the current available selections.

Can I use these services for paid karaoke shows?

These services are built for professional karaoke hosts who need commercially legal selections. You are still responsible for using licensed content properly in your performance environment.

Where do downloaded songs go?

When downloading selections for the first time, CompuHost asks you to choose a storage drive and creates a MyKJMedia Library folder automatically. Do not move, rename, or duplicate that folder.
